Over time, rubber strips may become lost or worn – an unfortunate occurrence, as they play an important role in maintaining the quiet operation and aerodynamic performance of your racks.
We find the best solution for most bars is usually the Rhino-Rack Vortex Generating Strips. You get 8 x 40cm strips in a pack (320cm in total), and they fit nicely with the following roof racks:
- Rhino Vortex bars
- Rhino Pioneer platforms
- Thule Aero bars (the old oval style)
- Thule WingBars 9594 series
- Yakima LockNLoad bars (TrimHD only)
- CRUZ Airo bars
- ROLA bars and platforms
Alternatively, if you have the new Thule Wingbar Evo bars, the best replacement strips for these are the Thule rubber replacements. For Thule Wingbar Edge bars, these will use the wingbar cover strip.
For the underside of Rhino's vortex bars, these will use the Underside Measure Strip, and for the new Rhino Sportz bars, these will use the width sliders.
Rhino's Heavy Duty bars have the following options depending on the length of the bars (that also fit Yakima HD bars):
- 1250mm rubber strips for Rhino Heavy Duty bars
- 1375mm rubber strips for Rhino Heavy Duty bars
- 1500mm rubber strips for Rhino Heavy Duty bars
- 1650mm rubber strips for Rhino Heavy Duty bars
- 1800mm rubber strips for Rhino Heavy Duty bars
