Can I mount a roofbox on my platform?

While mounting a roofbox to a platform is not a typical combination, it is possible to mount a roof pod to a platform system. The ease of installation and the specific parts required will depend on the brand and model of the platform.

Platforms with planks running east–west across the vehicle typically allow the pod to be mounted directly to the planks. However, for platforms with north–south oriented planks, an attachment or crossbar is usually required before a pod can be installed.

It's also important to consider the design of the pod itself. Only pods with relatively flat bases are compatible with platform mounting. Pods with significant indentations on the base may prevent the mounting hardware from making secure contact with the platform surface.
