Can I attach one brand's platform to another brand's mounting system?

Each of our roof rack brands utilise its own uniquely designed mounting system to securely attach platforms to their respective "spines" or leg kits. While it may occasionally be possible to pair components from different brands—for instance, mounting a Rhino-Rack platform on a Yakima RuggedLine setup—we generally do not recommend this approach. Issues such as custom requirements, potential concerns over the strength and stability of the mounting system, and possible warranty implications are all factors that make cross-brand compatibility less than ideal.

For optimal performance and safety, we advise using components designed to work together within the same brand ecosystem.
