Are the holders lockable, and how do I prevent theft?

Yes, all ski and rod holders we offer come with built-in locking systems to help keep your gear secure. Once locked, the holders prevent both your equipment and the carriers themselves from being removed.

To minimise the risk of theft, we recommend always locking the holders when in use, even during short stops and never leaving your gear unattended for extended periods. The mounting bolts and hardware are housed inside the closed holder, meaning the unit cannot be detached from your roof racks unless unlocked. This adds an extra layer of security by protecting both the contents and the carrier itself.

For peace of mind, it’s strongly advised to remove all skis, snowboards, or fishing rods when leaving your vehicle unattended overnight or for long durations. While the locks are secure, no system is completely theft-proof when left in isolated or unsupervised areas for extended periods.
