Are Roof Boxes weatherproof?

Roof Boxes are designed to be highly weather-resistant, providing protection against dirt, dust, and the elements. While they are among the most water-resistant cargo carriers available, they are not entirely waterproof. Prolonged exposure to heavy rainfall may, in some cases, allow water to seep into the carrier.

To ensure your belongings remain dry, it is advisable to pack them in waterproof loading bags, such as Go Packs, inside the Roof Box. Additionally, the Hapro Trivor range of Roof Boxes even includes these bags as part of the package.

For items particularly sensitive to moisture, it is recommended to use watertight packaging or, if possible, store them inside the vehicle itself for added protection.
